You should also keep records here of any messages or documents you receive from your loan officer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Fully Understand Your Benefits<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You should now have a good understanding of your <a title=\"VA Benifits\" href=\"http:\/\/benefits.va.gov\/benefits\/\" target=\"_blank\">benefits <\/a>and VA home loans. Ask your lender any questions you might have.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Send Requested Documents ASAP<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As obvious as this one may seem, it is often a problem. Be sure to send <a title=\"VA Resources\" href=\"http:\/\/www.archives.gov\/veterans\/benefits.html\" target=\"_blank\">requested documents <\/a>as soon as possible to keep the VA loan process moving along.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ask Questions As They Come Up<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you have questions or concerns, ask your lender right away. Don\u2019t wait until the very end of the process to ask, or else you risk causing a slowdown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Do Your VA Lender Shopping Early<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The sooner you select your VA lender the sooner the process can begin, and the sooner you can be at closing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Work With A VA Loan Specialist<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you work with someone who has been through the VA loan process many times before, there will be far fewer errors and setbacks. The choice is obvious: work with an experienced <a title=\"We do VA Loans!\" href=\"https:\/\/dev203k.orbitwebx.com\/dev203k\/\">VA lender<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Be Available<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Make your hours of availability as flexible as you can. There will be questions that arise throughout the course of the process, and the faster you communicate with your lender, the faster your VA loan approval process will be. If you will be unavailable for a period of time (for example, current military personnel going into the field) let your VA loan officer know in advance so there are no surprises.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Be Able To Communicate Through Email<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The majority of the loan process can be done without extensive phone conversations.
